Flags

It seems a simple thing to hang some flags in the streets so that the wind moves them during the month of March, but for our commission it is something more, it is heritage and tradition, it is to decorate our neighborhood to start welcoming our long-awaited parties.

From the second week of February, the youth of our fault takes the cart, the ladder and the flags and prepares to hang them throughout our great demarcation, passing from Antonio Ponz y Cavite to Gran Avenida Malvarrosa from the beginning to the end and on March 22, with the hangover of the fallas, the cart is taken out of the house again and this time the scythe with which we cut all the flags and with this we close the cycle until next year.

Tradition instilled from founders to newly arrived falleros, from grandparents to grandchildren. The pioneers in placing flags went down to the house in the morning to have the typical lunch and then to put flags and as customs change now we go down to the house for dinner and they are placed at night, but the result is the same to prepare the streets for the arrival of our big week.

This work that many of us enjoy has been maintained even in the historic fallas of September, it is the legacy that we have received and that we will undoubtedly continue to do.
